Soft baked finger food combining grated apple with oats and egg, perfect for self-feeding practice.

Ingredients

Apple1 medium
Oats1 cup
Egg1

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 180C/350F.
  2. 2Grate 1 medium apple, squeezing out excess juice.
  3. 3Combine grated apple with 1 cup oats in a bowl.
  4. 4Beat 1 egg and mix into the oat mixture.
  5. 5Spread mixture into a lined small baking pan about 1cm thick.
  6. 6Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden and firm.
  7. 7Cool completely before cutting into finger-sized strips.
  8. 8Store extras in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Safety Notes

Choking Hazard: Hard Foods

Raw carrots, raw apple chunks, whole nuts, and other hard foods must be cooked until soft or finely ground for infants and toddlers.

Cook Eggs Thoroughly

Eggs must be fully cooked (no runny yolks or whites) when served to infants and young children to prevent Salmonella infection.
