Simple rice balls coated with crumbled gim and mixed with finely chopped egg and carrot. A nutritious finger food babies love to grab.

Ingredients

Egg1
Gim (Korean Seaweed)2 sheets
Rice1/3 cup cooked
Carrot1 small

Instructions

  1. 1Hard-boil 1 egg, cool, peel, and finely chop.
  2. 2Finely dice 1 small carrot and steam until soft, about 5 minutes.
  3. 3Mix chopped egg and carrot into 1/3 cup warm cooked rice.
  4. 4Form into small bite-size balls and roll in crumbled gim from 2 sheets.
  5. 5Serve immediately as finger food.

Safety Notes

Choking Hazard: Hard Foods

Raw carrots, raw apple chunks, whole nuts, and other hard foods must be cooked until soft or finely ground for infants and toddlers.

Cook Eggs Thoroughly

Eggs must be fully cooked (no runny yolks or whites) when served to infants and young children to prevent Salmonella infection.
