An allergen introduction recipe for peanut. This smooth puree combines thinned peanut butter with naturally sweet banana, making it a safe and gentle way to introduce peanut to your baby.

Ingredients

Peanut Butter1/4 tsp
Banana1/2 medium

Instructions

  1. 1Start with a very small amount (1/4 teaspoon) and wait 2-3 days before offering a full portion. Watch for signs of allergic reaction.
  2. 2Peel and mash the banana until very smooth.
  3. 3Mix 1/4 teaspoon of smooth peanut butter with 1 tablespoon of warm water or breast milk until fully dissolved.
  4. 4Combine the thinned peanut butter with the mashed banana and stir well.
  5. 5Serve at room temperature. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 24 hours.

Safety Notes

Choking Hazard: Sticky Foods

Nut butters should be spread thin, not served in globs. Marshmallows and large chunks of cheese are also choking hazards.
