- 1Start with a very small amount (1/4 teaspoon) and wait 2-3 days before offering a full portion. Watch for signs of allergic reaction.
- 2Peel and dice the sweet potato into small cubes.
- 3Steam or boil the sweet potato for 12-15 minutes until very soft.
- 4Mash the sweet potato and mix in 1/4 teaspoon of smooth peanut butter until well combined.
- 5Add breast milk or water to reach desired consistency. Serve warm.
Safety Notes
Choking Hazard: Sticky Foods
Nut butters should be spread thin, not served in globs. Marshmallows and large chunks of cheese are also choking hazards.
